Ich wurde 1961 in München geboren und wuchs ab 1969 in Sydney, Australien auf.

Die Jazzplatten meiner Mutter prägten in frühester Kindheit mein Gehör und als ich zum ersten Mal zur Gitarre griff, war der Blues von Muddy Waters, Lightnin' Hopkins und zahlreichen anderen Blues-Größen nicht mehr weit.

Besonders von den schrägen Tönen des Slidegitarrenspiels war ich angetan. Fred McDowell war einer meiner wichtigsten Einflüsse.

Anfang der achtziger Jahre sammelte ich erste Banderfahrungen. Ich spielte in zahlreichen Gruppen als Aushilfsgitarrist und gründete ebenso viele eigene.

Ich fing an eigene Songs zu schreiben. Eine Leidenschaft, die sich in späteren Jahren noch entwickeln sollte.

Ohne Rücksicht auf stilistische Grenzen oder puristische Dogmen, schreibe, spiele und singe ich heute über alles was mir in die Quere kommt. Blues, Rock ´n Roll, Jazz, Country oder gar Spirituals.

I was born in Munich, Germany in 1961 and from 1969 on I lived in Sydney, Australia.

My mothers jazz records trained my ear and after picking up the guitar for the first time, it wasn't to long till I first got in touch with the blues of Muddy Waters, Lightnin' Hopkins and numerous other blues giants.

I was especialy thrilled by those weird, bended notes produced on the guitar with a slide. Fred McDowell was one of my most important early influences.

In the beginning of the eighties I started playing in bands. I gathered experience by both filling spaces when I was called upon, as well as founding my own groups.

I started writing songs, which became a real passion in later years.

Today I like to sing, play and write about anything coming my way, without caring too much about puristic questions of style. Blues, Rock 'n Roll, Jazz, Country, Spirituals. It's all there.
